Keepsake of the Week: “Epithet” by Helena Hallberg
Swiss-Swedish-American, polyglot, dulcimer-playing singer/songwriter Helena Hallberg takes listeners with her as she explores her womanhood in her debut LP, “Epithet.” Walk with Helena down sidewalks, through forests, across dance floors, into folktales, and inside her mind with this bodyguard of a record that rejects all stereotypes and stigma. You’ll learn plenty with Helena in your ear, but that isn’t the point. The point is that you might also find your stride.

Music that Made Napat Snidvongs
Napat Snidvongs is a Thai singer/songwriter living in Queens and a 2023 Keepsake House Artist in Residence. A lifelong student of sound and performance, Napat’s influences include Thai rock band Moderndog, atmospheric instrumentals of Mogwai, folk mastery from Leonard Cohen and Nick Drake, and even a surprise acoustic performance by Taylor Swift.
