Frank Song Jr. (he/him)

Frank is originally from the northwest corner of Virginia, the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. He relocated to Brattleboro, Vermont in 2020 from the NYC area, having taken pause from his music endeavors during the pandemic. His desire is to show that we are all connected; that the many textures of life are experienced by all and can be understood by all. Genres and cultural lines are not “real” but rather a construct we exist in. He writes about his family’s journey as immigrants, his own journey as a queer person, and his life in his home called America. He captures sound from East Asian folk, Irish Folk, American Folk/Bluegrass, R&B, and neo-soul music to tell his stories.

Frank has previously performed in the Keepsake House shows Roots Less Traveled and Linguistics (2022).

Jasmine Jang (she/her)

Jasmine Jang is a born and raised New York City-based singer/songwriter and the co-founder of Keepsake House. She is the artist of one full-length album and three EPs, the latest of which, “In Circles Now,” was released last October. Her songs have been described as genuine and ethereal, making their way onto Spotify editorial playlists including Fresh Finds and Fresh Finds: Indie. Her love and excitement for live music extends from the close-knit, conversational exchange between an artist and her audience, which she hopes she can fulfill not only with her own work, but with the community of artists at Keepsake House.

In addition to co-founding Keepsake House, Jasmine has previously performed in the Keepsake House shows From Story to Song (2021), Jay Miners: In Betweens Album Release Show, Show Yourself, and A Keepsake Christmas.

TONIE (they/them)

TONIE is doing their very best to make you cry, in all the best ways. Their music is deeply autobiographical, taking on topics such as love and heartbreak, struggles with depression, and queer contemplations. TONIE wraps challenging conversations in luscious synths, driving guitars, and dynamic vocals that invites listeners to love themselves fully and bask in their feels.

The LA-native writes and produces each synth-pop track from the comfort of their skylit home studio in Brooklyn, NY—a perfect backdrop for the emotional vulnerability that colors their lyrics. Proudly Vietnamese American, nonbinary, and themselves!

TONIE has previously performed in the Keepsake House shows Show Yourself, Meet Cute Music, A Keepsake Christmas, and Foresight (2023), was the Music Director of From Story to Song (2021 & January 2023), and is a 2023 Artist in Residence.

Asian Mental Health Collective

It is the mission of AMHC to normalize and de-stigmatize mental health within the Asian community. With the rapid development of and focus on personal well-being in individualistic societies, people are now more aware of the detrimental effects of poor mental health and mental illnesses than ever before. However, as members of the Asian Diaspora, there are often strong cultural underpinnings related to our mental health experiences that go unaddressed. Mental health issues do not exist in individuals only, and this is especially true for those who come from cultures that value collectivism. Experiences shaped by cultural ideals that value face, achievement, and filial piety are interwoven in the fabric of our understanding of the world. Intertwined with generations of exposure to trauma, these ideals, while not inherently unhealthy, are often expressed in ways that create dissonance for the children of the diaspora who live in increasingly globalized societies. It is apparent that there is a generational and cultural rift in many Asian families, with mental health woven through both overt confrontations and unspoken grievances as a result. AMHC hopes to help bridge those divides.

And sponsored in-kind by…

Culture Kitchn

The idea for Culture Kitchn came from Helena and Daniel—NYC-based wife and husband duo—realized, as Asian Americans, the flavors they grew up with were not on kombucha shelves. Think Lychee and Yuzu. So, they took it upon themselves to produce flavors that reflected different cultures, design packaging that playfully speaks to each, and brew the drink in the way they wanted to enjoy.
