"Embracing the Multidisciplinary Writer: Lessons Across Genre & Form" is an 8-week workshop aimed at reinvigorating your writing practice and recentering your relationship to storytelling. Through exploring different types of writing, carving out live writing time, and practicing mindfulness techniques in a supportive community setting, this workshop will provide you with inspiration and practical tools to reignite your creative work.

Time: Tuesdays at 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm Pacific Time (8:30 pm - 10:30 pm Eastern Time)

Ashley Griggs (she/her) is a screenwriter and higher education professional from Herndon, VA. She earned her BA in Film Studies and French at the College of William & Mary and later received an MFA in Dramatic Writing from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University where she was awarded a Future Screenwriters Fellowship. Ashley is a reader for the Austin Film Festival and has worked for a variety of production companies in film, television, and theater development and production.
Ashley has written for the narrative podcast The Host, has directed plays in New York City and Los Angeles, and mentors teens with nonprofit WriteGirl LA. She previously worked with the Writers’ Program and Entertainment Studies division at UCLA Extension where she planned writing and entertainment workshops and moderated creative industry discussions. She currently lives in Los Angeles.
Robert Kuang (he/they) is a life coach, writer, and musician. He earned his B.A. in Film, Television & Theatre Production from University of Colorado Denver, and later received the Dean’s Fellowship to study Dramatic Writing at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Robert has previously interned with Starz Entertainment and Writers Guild of America, East, and later led a team of international writers as an editorial manager at Kpopstarz, Inc. Robert’s play, “The Piano,” was a winner of the “2042: See Change” National Playwriting Competition award with East West Players. He has also written for the television series “Yu-Gi-Oh!” Most recently, Robert was selected 2023 Keepsake House Artist in Residence.
