Open Mics

Be a part of our monthly Open Mics every fourth Monday (and select Fridays) this year! Swing by the coziest Asian American owned cafe in Williamsburg to workshop your performance in a safe space, connect with our community of artists, and support your peers. At a Keepsake Open Mic, all types of performance are welcome, artists are given ten minutes each to perform, and sets are scheduled in advance to allow for equal opportunity and a diverse line-up. The October 28 Open Mic will be facilitated by Keepsake family member Roselle Bajet. Advance sign-ups for this night are full, but there will be walk-ups available. The theme is “Intuition.”

The November 1 Open Mic will be facilitated by Keepsake family member JAE.CI with a theme of adoption and adoptee identity. Adoptee performers are strongly preferred and encouraged to apply, in honor of National Adoption Awareness Month. This will be a safe space for adoptees to share and reflect on their experiences together, though non-adoptees are welcome to attend, listen, and support.
